fruity cutie bats 2.0
i changed some things around about the way im going to do the fruit bats. the bat will just be a solid shape and the fruit will be cut out and sewn down and the "background" colour is going to be patterned. as long as i can make that work with the fruit pattern. i went with a polka dot and cherry combination for the rough draft and i like the way it looks, im excited to start on these.

in case you are wondering, i always like to sketch things out so i can visualize what the finished product will look like. i had a few ideas i wanted to work out, and i decided i needed to re-work some original clv characters (kamikaze love panda and fruity cutie bats, namely.) so here is the new new!

| gentlemen octopus. i toyed around with the idea of a monocle and perhaps i will add that later, i think it would be extra cute but im not sure it's practical to sew. we'll see what happens. i can't wait to start working on this one. im going to cut out the general octopus shape and sew the outer layer of fabric down. the top hat and mustache will be separate pieces i will sew on top of that. the bubbles will be similar to the octopus since it will use the same fabric. |

| love toast. i want try using a fluffier fabric for this toast shaped wallet/coin purse/tiny bag. whatever you want to call it. heart shaped butter and patterned inside lining. if i can find toast print fabric that would be boss. zipper or snap close, i haven't decided. |

| candy bats. basically, i cant exactly draw candy. i decided to make them into little bats (add pointy teeth and badda bing) and for a more seasonal (read: halloween) feel i added candy corn. i really like the idea of the little candy corn and i believe i may incorporate that into as many pieces as i possibly can. |
